I purchased my dress from DB 3 weeks ago.
Even the next day after buying the dress I have been freaking out. Is this normal? I even cried a few nights. Tomorrow I go in to try it on–its here the correct size and all. I think in my mind im comparing it to the normal strapless dresses that are very trendy, and mine is not that. Why am I doing that! I dont know!
Do you think I really hate this dress or just worried about what others are going to think which is really stupid I know! Did anyone else have these feelings. This is the only dress my mom/MOH/FMIL cried and I teared up. Tomorrow I am also going shopping for a dress for one of my besties, who I am her Maid/Matron of Honor and Im scared im going to find like something different. AHH. so confused!

It’s a pretty dress. I think everyone gets dress regret at some point, there are so many beautiful dresses and when you only pick 1 there are a lot you miss out on. But that’s ok because just remember there was a reason you chose your dress, you must have loved it when you had it on!

The dress is beautiful, but ask yourself one question.. are you excited to wear it on your wedding day?
I bought my dress at DB too, and I started to get nervous. I tried it on again one day and couldn’t wait to take it off. It was the only dress that made my mom cry. Unfortunately, it also made ME cry because I didn’t want to wear it. I freaked out nonstop until I admitted to myself I just don’t like it. I realized if I wear it on my wedding day, I won’t be happy. It’s beautiful, just not what I want. (It’s Galia Signatuge SWG400.. size 2, any takers?? lol)
I finally just decided that if I don’t even want to try it on now and I feel sick thinking about it.. why would I want to wear it on my one and only wedding day?
Went shopping. Fell in love. Couldn’t be happier. Problem solved.. for me at least!
Just take a deep breath and relax. Do you feel excited to try it on? Do you feel like you in it? Will you be happy looking back on it? If yes, great. If no, that’s not bad either! You can always sell it and get a new one! Either way, do what will make YOU happy!!!
Good luck! & let us know your fitting went!!!

Such a classy dress. You will be beautiful!!!
I had major dress regret! Like, immediately made an appointment to try on more after I purchased it lol (it’s a peachy blush, the untraditional-ish kinda made me nervous) … I think we feel so much pressure to fine THE PERFECT DRESS for the MOST IMPORTANT DAY of our lives and it’s just ridiculous!
Go with your instinct. Mine was that I Loved my dress (got goosebumps from it!)

@masterteee2013: It’s beautiful, and I could go either way about it not being “a normal strapless dress that is very trendy.” On one hand, sure, it is not strapless, but on the other hand the strapless thing had been around for years now and it’s time to move on, and this dress is not all that far off from being strapless dress because you can see the strapless outline underneath. I actually suspect this one is highly on the trend curve, more trendy, not less trendy.
But what do I know about trends.

I love the dress! But I’m not a fan of a lot of strapless dresses anyway.
