I tried on a total of 4 dresses before picking this one because it was very affordable and I felt I wouldn’t find anything nicer for $495. I wore it on my wedding day but often look back and wonder if I made the wrong choice. I didn’t LOVE IT. Now i’m undecided what to do with it. Trash the dress? I’m really not emotionally attached.

Donate it so someone else can have a beautiful dress

Where do you find places to donate it? I don’t want to take it to a thrift store in town because they sell them.

oh man i was SO CONFUSED by your title. just fyi, “trash the dress” usually refers to doing a post-wedding photo shoot where you take awesome pics in your dress that you normally wouldn’t for fear it would get ruined (like IN a lake), i couldn’t figure out why you would want to a do a trash the dress photo shoot if you had dress regret! but you meant literally throw the dress out…makes more sense.
i’d donate it or sell it rather than throwing it out – that just seems wasteful. there are plenty of websites where you can sell preowned dresses….or list it as like $1 if you want to “donate” it.

Keep it!! I wouldn’t want to throw something away that had a connection to my husband even if you’re not emotionally attached or dislike the dress.
