Why don’t you contact a wedding dress alteration shop or two, I’m sure they have some extra scraps!

I always see old wedding dresses and veils at secondhand stores…..Goodwill, Hospice, etc.  You could try that angle….

I know one of my friends who has a lot of dresses made for her checks the sale section at JoAnn Fabrics and other such stores for budget friendly options.  If you’re not too picky (like, if it doesn’t have to come from an actual wedding dress), I’m sure that there are odds and ends in a sale bin somewhere.
