First of all, your dress is gorgeous, and you look absolutely stunning in it! It’s so classic and elegant – it’s truly perfect!

And dress regret is totally normal. A lot of brides experience it. Is there any reason you’re second guessing your decision? Like maybe you just need some accesories to get a sense of your whole “look.” Or it may just be a fit think (it’s amazing what a seamstress can do to make you fall in love with your dress all over again!).

Know that there’s always going to be a better dress out there. I mean, there are so many lovely wedding dresses, and it’s normal to think maybe you made the wrong choice. But just focus on your dress and what you like about it and put those other dresses out of mind. 🙂

And seriously, you should have no second thoughts because your dress is AMAZING!

Disclosure: I have this exact same dress (it arrived yesterday and I picked it up today) and I hate it. I had my sister help me shimmy into it and the fit was awful. And not just the fit, everything about it felt wrong to me.

I realized, belatedly, that this is the type of dress that I would wear to any formal event; strapless, sheath, simple. And for my wedding, I want to wear something that would be preposterous anywhere else. So even though I already have this dress, I’m shopping for a completely different dress (and my wedding is in less than 4 months!!)

That said, you have plenty of time till your wedding. Take a week or two off, don’t look at the dress or think about it. Then, reevaluate when you’re clear-headed. Also, ask a friend to help you lace up the back and give her honest opinion.

Lastly, yes, the dress will look better after alterations. But its up to you to decide if you LOVE the dress and just need to work on the fit a little bit, or if it truly doesn’t fit your vision. Also, the dress looks great on you and the belt really accentuates your little waist. Good luck with your decision!

I absolutely love your dress.  I can tell you, as someone who just went through this (I posted about it if you check out my history) that fit makes all the difference in the world.  Especially with simple dresses like this (which mine is too and I love simple dresses), the wow factor is the simple elegance and the fit of the dress on you.  So, fit is really everything.

When my dress came in, I tried it on and just wasn’t sure, and I worried for months.  Then, this past weekend, I had my first fitting where they pin it all up, so it looks and feels like it actually fits.  That made all the difference in the world.  I’m now in love with my dress.  I think you’ll feel differently once the dress fits your body the way it should.  Try to hang in there until it’s altered and remember that you picked it for a reason.  Understandably, because it’s gorgeous!

I love it on you, I think once it’s fitted and you add your jewelry for more bling you’ll fall in love over again!
