I am shaped similarly to the way you look in the very first photo you posted of yoursef in the dress you loved and lost.

These photos, along with my own dress-shopping experience, lead me to say that I think the waistline and style of the skirt of the dress you loved and lost are so much more flattering to your figure than the rest of these dresses.

There are many dresses with less full skirts and ruched or dropped waists that would show your beautiful curves in better manner than these much fuller, gathered, primarily natural waist gowns that you posted.

I like the first one best and 3rd one next, both of which have a more flattering waist placement. There are lots more with ruched waists, I definitely think that’s a great look on you!

Great! I’m not saying that your dress is necessarily shown in any of the new photos you just posted, but, can you see how much smaller you look in the dresses that feature the ruching at the waist? They hug your curves and fit so much closer to your body, showing off your beautiful figure. They don’t have all that extra fabric gathered at the waist that, on some of the dresses above, ends up poofing out below the waist, making your hips look bigger than they are.

Of all of the new dresses you posted, I love the look, style and fit of the whispy one with the organza layers and the blush-colored bow. However, the top on that one is a bit too low, I think. Perhaps it could be ordered or fitted to adjust for that.

engagedat40:  I like the last two in your second post best, but I would take off the pink flower thing in the second to last one. of the first set I guess the 2nd one is the best but I don’t like the ball gown silhouette on you really, doesn’t flatter as much as your original dress. Good luck 🙂

engagedat40:  I see you tried that one ruched dress this time around but it’s not satin like your first one. I agree with you, and I never like that lighter fabric when it’s ruched. Maybe focus on an aline satin ballgown with ruching drop waist? I googled it and didn’t see a lot of new dresses like that, so it might require a little searching. So weird, that’s such a flattering style.

We have a few bees who are great at finding dresses with a quick search:-) here’s hoping one of them stop by!

I voted for #4 because it’s both flattering and flows and beautiful.

the first one, your favorite, is a tad more flattering.but personally, I don’t like ruching and shiney satin.

in the second set of photos the 3rd one is So So so pretty! and a big NO to others in that group.
