Don’t be discouraged! You will know the right one when you find it. Just be open minded and try different styles. You might be surprised. The dress I ended up loving on ME I didn’t like very much in the picture or on the hanger. You know what they say, try, try again.

Look for a shop that carries either Casablanca or Allure. Both have tons of beautiful lace dresses. Call around in your area and see what plus size selection they have before you go there and are disappointed. There are some specialty plus size bridal salons in a few major cities. It might be worth a one or two hour drive to be able to try on more dresses.

I ended up buying my dress without trying it on. But I tried on a dress in the same silhouette. That helps a lot! You can see if the shape is flattering, then hold the dream dress up and see if it will work for you. It’s a gamble though. But for me it paid off and I got my dream dress.
