I wasn’t too surprised as my dress is from Essence of Australia, and their sizes run smaller due to the different sizing all the way over there. lol. The dress I ordered is 2 sizes bigger. I’ll have to take it in slightly as I was on the bubble of the two sizes. So i guess I went up a size and a half.

I’m busty (32 DDD and still growing), so dress shopping is always interesting for me.  I’m usually a size 0 or 1 in jeans and a 0-2 in normal dresses (lately sometimes a 4 because of bust issues), but my wedding dress is a 6.  Granted, I have to tie the corset REALLY tight to make it fit in the waist, but it fits perfectly in the bust.

I think people haven’t voted properly. According to the stats average, wedding dress sizes are bigger than street sizes. But practically everybody on here has said the opposite. Maybe it wasnt read properly Undecided

I was a size 0/2 and my wedding dress was a size 6. It was too big (shocker!) and I had to pay more to get it altered which made me mad.

Bought a Maggie Sottero and it was the same size as street clothes.  Which is nice because I was always told that Bridal gowns measured bigger than street clothes and I was kind of freaking out 🙂

I wear a size 8 normally but had to order a size 12 dress due to my awesome thighs. Alterations are going to be fun!

wear a 12 dress was 14   – just a number, it was more important that it fit and needed minimal alterations.

I order an 8 in my San Patrick gown; I’m typically a size 6 in street clothing.

My Alfred Angelo was the same street size I always wear in dresses. But I always have to get my dresses a size up from my pants due to my bust.

I wear an 8 in dresses and a 10 in pants normally.  I tried on a sample size 10 at the store and it fit perfectly.  According to their sizing charts I fit the 10 in all areas except my hips (which was barely into the next size-12), but I still decided to just order the 10.

So that is an increase in 1 dress size for me.
