It depends on how formal it is I think. But I think it’s pretty common to wear the wedding dress to at home receptions.

I don’t think so! Unless the at-home reception is super informal, and your dress is a ballgown or something. But you could totally get another casual white dress!

Agreed! Unless it’s  a simple informal event but even so, it’s your wedding do what you want!

I am wondering about this too! DH and I got married last month in the US, but are having a wedding reception in his home country later this summer since many of his relatives couldn’t make it over for the actual wedding. I have no idea what to wear, but have decided not to wear my original wedding dress. For one it is FILTHY after wearing it all day at our outdoors wedding a few weeks ago, and I don’t have it in me to deal with getting it cleaned before we go on this trip. For another it would be a pain in the ass to haul it all the way across the globe to his country cause its kinda big and poofy.

I do want to wear something bridal though, so I’m thinking of going for a more simple long white-ish dress.
