Alright ladies…. I’ve posted here and there on the boards before.. but never started my own thread.
I’m not engaged(yet) but I would probably say it would be coming in the next few months.. and sweetie and I both strongly believe in short engagements.
I’ve decided to get a slight head start by at least having a specific dress in mind that I’d like to be pursuing once the ring comes… but I’m having a lot of trouble finding what I’d like…
I’m rather madly in love with illusion necklines and lace… I’m all about a vintage feel
Here’s the thing.. I want the WHOLE dress to be lace… not the lace applique over netting or tulle.
Not lace accents.. I want the dress to be lace…
It’s hard to find :/
I don’t like bling.. I want the lace and the illusion neckline to speak for itself
And I like the look of a really full skirt (one that would fan out beautifully when dancing) but not necessarily a ‘ballgown’ if that makes sense
Honestly, I’m just hoping someone on here might get my vision and know of a dress that could meet my needs… I’m open to a dress that an illusion piece would have to be made for (ie.. doesn’t come with one)
I’m not interested in anything with a low back or backless and I don’t want a low neck-line either
So ladies, does this remind you of anything?? Thanks!

This is the best I could find right now. There is a little bling on the top but for the most part it seems to match your vision

I was also going to suggest justin alexander

Definitely check out Enzoani as well. The Blue line and Modeca line both have very similar dresses to what you describe; they may not be fully lace, but it’s a good place to start.
Sorry about the size, I can’t resize it. But this dress, along with many others, have the illusion neckline, high back…definitely check it out!

Thanks for the replies gals 🙂
I am decently familiar with JA (I work in a small bridal shop, and we carry that designer).. however I’m not familiar with the other
I’ll definitely take a look 🙂
I found this one on JA:
See how soft the lace looks? that’s the fabric feel I’m looking for I suppose… but I’m not sure if I’m in love with the bodice length or not

@Cecilia_Noelle: I was going to post the 8557 but it didn’t have the illusion neckline. Search on here for Justin Alexander 8557 and you will find a bunch of fellow bees who got this dress

Allure Romance 9000:)! All lace, the illusion neckline kind of and a bit flared

I’m really not feeling the fit/flares though….
I guess I really am leaning ball gown, but I just don’t want the poof
Haha, maybe ball gown sans slip/crinoline?
I’ve seen a lot of styles that I love that incorporate tulle/tulle with lace appliqué (sometimes even organza) for the full skirt effect….I just wish they’d make them LACE instead…..
