I really like the one you have on in the picture! It is beautiful. But the 1402 dress from Jordan Fashion is really elegant!! With a little blingy belt, I say that would be a really pretty look for a beach wedding!

@PennyLane67:  I agree completely.

I don’t love the satin dress for a beach wedding, lighter fabrics like the lace/chiffon seem more summer/beach to me.

@DiamondMom:  check out this dress from Alfred Angelo.  I tried it on and loved it.  But I decided to go with something longer since I am having a more formal saturday night wedding.  When I tried it on, it was practically in my street size clothes and needed minimal alterations.

That Maggie is beautiful on you and I think it would be perfect for a beach wedding! Although I do agree that satin does not seem suitable for the beach, I know many photographers advise against chiffon because of the breeze/wind! It can really mess up pictures if everyone’s dresses are all over the place.

I am wearing an Alfred Angelo for my casual beach wedding.  I like the way the chiffon hangs off of me.  I think I will have the train reduced a bit though.  Don’t feel like you have to go casual because it’s on the beach.  I have seen super-glam gowns at beach weddings.

@DiamondMom:  I’m wearing an ivory bridesmaid dress for my casual beach wedding, but if the only thing putting you off the first one (which looks great on you) is the price, you should look for it used.  They do only get worn once, after all.

@DiamondMom:  You look beautiful in that Sottero dress! I’m having a beach wedding, but I’m still wearing a pretty formal dress. Mine is the Blue by Enzoani Dillion with a slightly-longer-than-chapel train. I’m also wearing a cathedral veil. It really all depends on the setting you’re going for. Even though our wedding’s on the beach, we still want a more formal setting, so our BMs are wearing long chiffon dresses and GMs will still be wearing suits. I don’t think taffeta is a good idea for the beach because taffeta is VERY hot, so unless you’re getting married in a place where it’s not hot and humid, I’d definitely not recommend it.
