Wedding dress with belt or no belt?

I like it with the belt, just not particularly fond of THAT belt. You look gorgeous and the dress is stunning, but I feel like the bronze belt competes with your dress instead of complimenting it. I would go for a more subdued colour, like silver or champagne even. You look beautiful either way though!

I say no belt.

The belt is cute but I think the dress stands on it’s own! You look beautiful!

I like the belt, and normally I’m not a huge belt fan.  It really looks great with your dress though!

britgotherstud :  The up close picture made me want to say no, but the farther away pictures make me say YES TO THAT GORGEOUS BELT! I vote Yes. I think it adds a beautiful pop of colour to the dress!

No belt. The dress absolutely doesn’t need it (I still believe the vast majority of wedding dresses do not need belts!) That said, the belt is really pretty so please wear it some other way or time!

Maybe wear it on your going away dress?

i think the dress is fine as is, but if you really want a belt, that one isn’t the way to go. Your dress has a beautiful point to the boning in the center front and the belt hides and changes the waist. Also, there is a lot of detail on the dress and the belt doesn’t fit style wise.

It is a great belt, and a great dress, just not ideal together.

I’m usually Team No Belt, along with many PPs; however, I do like this one! I think you’ll find the results of your question in this thread to be split pretty evenly 50/50…so go with *your* gut! Your dress will photograph beautifully regardless. ๐Ÿ™‚

Vote No Belt as it doesn’t lie on the waist seam of the dress so it’s like a double line. It’s a pretty belt though.

Aaaaaaaah. I feel torn lolol

On one hand, it’s the most fkn gorgeous belt I have ever seen, it looks amazing on you, and it looks amazing with that dress.

On the other hand, it’s not a plain dress. If it was plain white crepe or something I would be totally sold, but it’s not a plain dress. I feel like it takes away from the simple inherent beauty of the gown.

I don’t think USING the belt would be a HORRIBLE choice, because damn, it’s so pretty. You look stunning with and without it ๐Ÿ™‚ I think I’m leaning SLIGHTLY towards not using the belt as a belt (like PP said, use it in your hair or something) but honestly, it works both ways. Truly. ๐Ÿ™‚

You really can’t go wrong either way. You have such a gorgeous and unique dress, it is beautiful all on its own. For that reason, part of me says no belt. BUT… this particular belt is so pretty and adds a special touch. I think I’m leaning SLIGHTLY to no belt, but either way is pretty!!

p.s. I love your tattoo!

I’d go for a thin, solid belt that defines your waistline without competiting with the pattern on the dress.  All the bling on the belt draws your eye there an the effect with the overall pattern on the dress reads busy.

Without.  The belt is pretty but visually it cuts you in half in an unflattering way.  I also don’t like the difference in waistline between the dropped waist gown and the natural waistline of the belt.

britgotherstud :  I’m usually not a big belt person but I really think the belt pulls together your look! I feel like especially with your tattoos it ties everything all together. Do it!!!
