So, I just ordered my wedding dress today…..in street clothes I’m a size 4 and weigh 120 lbs at 5’3″. I tried on a size 10 dress and it fit snug in the hips….measurements were 31,27 I think, and 39….so they suggested a size 12 so it could be altered. I planned on losing probably 7-10lbs. before the big day to get rid of those unloveable love handles…….if I do so happen to lose 10 lbs. will my dress be WAY too big to be altered or should I be okay?

a) I don’t see any lovehandles- we are always most critcal of ourselves.
b) You should be able to alter it down once you lose the weight without any issues. It is always safe to buy for the size you are than the to buy for the size you want to be.
c) You look GREAT!! in that gown.

The dress must be cut super small. When it comes to wedding dresses, dont look at the size but the measurements and order the size you are now. By The Way I love the lace.

No worries, you’ll be able to alter down.

I think you made the right decision to order the dress you did. Often times, your hip measurement doesn’t change even if you lose weight- just so much bone. I can’t imagine your seamstress would have any problem altering it down.

you should be just fine if you loose those pounds. It’s easier to cut down to add onto.
