    Dress: $450

    Belt: $70

Shoes: $465 (yes, I spent more on the shoes than the dress)

    Hair decoration: $50 or less

    Underthings: estimated $100

    Alterations: estimated $200

Earrings: $0, I already own and wear them regularly

    No veil. No slip.

We originally budgeted $1500 for the dress alone, pre-alterations. I’m thrilled that we’re coming in so far under budget!

@subola Just posted to your other thread about the “look” but here’s my breakdown:

    Dress: $900

    Shoes: $40

Hair accessory: $3 (SIL is making from my grandmother’s wedding dress fabric, had to buy a comb)

    Underwear: $15

Jewelry: $0 (all borrowed from mom)

    Alterations: estimating $100

Hair and make up: estimating $100

No veil, other under garments, or slip. I budgeted around $1700 for everything, so will come in under.  Yay.

    Dress: $675

    Shoes: $ 36.42

    Hair decoration: $25 or less

    Underthings: $50.73

    Alterations: none

Earrings: most likely $0, think I will use a pair that I already have

    No veil. No slip.

Clutch: Crocheted one out of yarn I already had… um, perhaps $50 or so worth of it?

Guess I need to get a pair of stockings as well, so that will add another $20 or so. I’ll do my own makeup, and have most of the supplies for that, but will have to get a hairdresser to do my hair. So… $100 for that?

    TOTAL: ~$950

And this is the dress (and the shoes in the mirror) for reference:

@subola:  Yes, I love it. I have this one. I am a 38/40 DD and nothing else will do. I hate strapless bras with a fiery passion and corsets give an amazing shape.

@subola: Thank you! It’s a very practical dress that works for our venue (norther Sweden, forest) and I’m happy with the price as I never wanted a super expensive dress.
