I haven’t even looked in a bridal shop yet.  I figure I may change my tastes between now and closer to the wedding, so I should wait until a year out or so to look and buy one.

I totally look online constantly though.

I found and bought a dress.  I love my dress.  But then stupid me couldn’t stop looking at dresses and found another one I love too.  Completely different styles.  So I suggest waiting until your wedding gets closer or you might do what I did and decide on a different dress AFTER already purchasing one.

I bought my dress too. I fell in love with it and would be really upset if I waited and it got discontinued before I has a chance to buy it. I knew what type of dress I wanted going in and I’m so happy with my decision to buy it now. It just really depends on you.

@FoxyBride14:  I knew my dress was being discontinued and it was EXACTLY what I envisioned, as in the ddesigner read my mind or something. So I bought it. But I was also expecting to be married in 2 days. But some unforseeable things happened and we had to push back wedding. And while we’re waiting some ideas have changed and then I saw a different dress I love. Not saying it will happen to you but I just kinda wish I would have waited, or actually not looked at any more dresses. Because I feel torn.

I just find it funny you have the same thoughts I do/did. I couldn’t stand the thought of my dress being discontinued before the wedding. And in that aspect I’m so glad I bought it. Who knows I may convince myself that I don’t want the other one and will not doubt my first decision again.

i always look at dresses and different styles that i might like. i thought i found one that was ”THE ONE” but i didnt buy it.. being our weddings wanting to be in 2014 we still have a bunch of time to decide on a dress. but theres no harm in trying them on ! 😀

i bought my dress! i live across the country and only see my mom once or twice a year, so when she came to visit we thought it would be nice to try on dresses just the two of us. i know my style and that it won’t change drastically over the next 2 years, and this dress was just perfect. it’s being discontinued at the end of the year, so I mulled it over for a month, and then went back and decided to get it! I still watch “say yes to the dress” occasionally, and each time i watch it it just makes me more and more excited to wear MY dress, so i guess the decision was so far so good 🙂

I think dress shopping is really the only thing we can do right now so its easy to get caught up and excited. Its the most important thing about the wedding (other than us brides or the groom). Our dresses say so much about us, our personality, the style of our wedding…. I just have a lot of personalities trying to come out in this wedding though lol. I think ultimately the hopeless romantic side of me will be the one that wins out.

Spring 2014…and my goal is to wait until January to start looking. I’m a very particular when it comes to clothes so I want to give myself enough time to shop without any pressure.

I just started looking and fell in love with the first dress I tried on, Pronovias Pergola. I was so tempted to buy it buy I want to try at leastba few more designers before I make that decision.
