Ok So I am going to order this dress on Saturday- Allure 8917. (this is not me)
Its really pretty. Not at all what I THOUGHT i was getting but anyway. This dress kind of threw a wrench into my plan of getting blue sparkly shoes as my something blue.
My girls havent picked out their colors or dresses yet. I either want MIDNIGHT blue or Black for them. I was thinking of asking them to buy the same shoe as me but in a different color. I would like to wear those blue sparkly ones but I dont know If it will go with my dress. There is a Medium Pink color in the same shoe that would probably go better with the dress because it looks champagne. This was one dress ALL the girls liked…
BUT they cant do that funky shoe with this dress… So then I was thinking something like this…
WITH the funky sparkly shoes…
WHAT DO YOUTHINK?????
THANKS for the help : )

I think your dress looks very classic and romantic, and the shoes are very modern looking. I think you should do what you want, but maybe look at the possibility of a different blue shoe.
I think that that style of shoe will go fantastically with the short, black dress you picked, though.

I edit wedding videos for a living.. and I’m seeing this more and more.. all sorts of colorfully funky shoes with beautiful dresses! I say you can definitely do it!

Do it! But take that with a grain of salt. I wore these, but my dress was a lot simpler. I would’ve worn them anyway, I am a huge fan of the fun colored sparkly shoe trend. It was a great idea because my uncle had the DJ do a shoe song where I lifted my skirt a little as I danced to show them off, and other people joined in too. It was pretty fun!

Thanks everyone. I’m also doing a semi peacock theme. NOT overdone peacock feathers everywhere. Some in the cocktail hour, Some in my Flowers, Some in my centerpieces but very light- Nothing overboard! (My Fiance was a Saint Peter’s Peacock so he wanted to originally encorporate baseball in the wedding) 🙁 He settled for Peacock colors 🙂 Thats’ why I was going to encorporate the Blue in the girls shoes. I figure if they wear the short black dresses you will still be able to see they are the wedding party because of the funky blue shoes and the little blue peacock clip in their hair…otherwise black simple dresses could be boring.
This is similar to the Ivory Peacock hair pin I’ll wear for the reception…
And this was the one I found for my girls… Itll be BLUE not Purple though

@red_pepper_gal: You don’t think that blue will look weird with the champagne colored dress? Those shoes dont come in Champagne- at least I can’t find them in a 7 ANYWHERE. I think white would look weird since the dress is an antiquey ivory color.
