My brother was I think 13 when I got married, and we had him walk the (widowed) grandmothers down the aisle and we had him perform a short Irish blessing to kick off the reception. Oh, and we told him it was his job to make sure I always had a drink, a duty he took very seriously.

I’d probably make him a junior groomsman.

i second the junior groomsman. he can be in charge of lighting candles boys love to lite things on fire. give him a disposable camera and have him take pics from his perspective maybe 3 or 4 each hour.

Just make him a groomsman/ bridesman? 12 is plenty old enough for that.

My brother was 13 and taller than me. We talked about what he wanted to do in the wedding and decided on this. He loved being Ring Security! He even handcuffed the brief case to his wrist. I thought it was hilarious! (The role and props were his idea. But I bought them.) Not sure how mature your brother is, he might feel he’s “too old” for something like this. Maybe just talk to him about what role he’d like though?
