Hello!!!! So we are discussing what we need to do for our entertainment at the wedding. My new Fiance said he is worried because we haven’t come up with more than the traditional.
1st Dance- A few songs, some fast and some slow
Polaroids for the Guest Book
Guest book signing time
Chinese Menu- Buffet/All you can drink
Jumping the Broom- When we enter the reception
Any ideas how we can spice up our entertainment????

Is anyone having performances? Whats your theme?

What is “jumping the broom”?
I think you’ve got a nice list there and dancing would take up any space inbetween.

I honestly think that’s plenty. As a guest, I prefer to not be interrupted too many times to watch/participate in “entertainment”. A DJ and an open bar is entertainment enough for me 🙂

Totally agree!!! My Fiance father was so worried after we started talking about our plans. He felt like we weren’t doing enough. I think he has been wathing too many youtube clips of crazy stunts at weddings. So now we are currently up at 3am searching for ideas and songs to dance to.
We were so ashamed of our plans after the talk
We were like,”Should we ummm hire acrobats or something!”
Hope we can please everybody.

Jumping the broom is an African American tradition. Its possible we will try it but we aren’t sure. Its like smashing glasses at a Jewish wedding.

Hm, I like the traditional things y’all are doing. Personally I get annoyed at weddings when I have to sit through long speeches or I constantly have to stop eating so I can “see what the Bride & Groom are doing” if it’s not the traditional stuff. But that’s just me.
One thing you left out was cutting the cake. Are y’all doing that?

Cake cutting and toasts! If you want to add more, you could do an anniversary dance or money dance.
