I got married In Vancouver but Im from PRINCE GEORGE…i totally know where Fort St. John is….

but unfortunatley it was super duper hot and my dress was super duper heavy!! and thick. All my guests were like “You must be hot” I replied “Im sweating in weird places”. The only reason i tell you this is because i dont know of any wedding that goes “perfect” it might be to hot, to cold, to windy, to snowy…who knows. Im just so happy you guys were able to get to the alter and become husband and wife!! 🙂

I don’t know you, but after hearing that I just want to give you a big hug.

I’m sure everyone there knew you all were trying the best you could. My sister’s wedding happened during a crazy Oklahoma thunderstorm, hail and all, so I can sympathize. At my best friend’s May wedding, a cold snap came in the middle of the day, leaving all the May-wedding-attired guests absolutely freezing. At another friend’s wedding, the priest didn’t bother showing up (or calling to let anyone know).

Weddings are big, crazy, complicated things, and I’ve never been to one where SOMETHING didn’t go wrong. But like others said, you arrived with a fiancee and left with a husband, so goal accomplished. Plus, even though it was chaotic, at least you’ll always have a great story to tell at parties.

I am so sorry that this happened to you on your special day. Maybe one day in the future, you and hubby can get everyone together again to renew your vowes and plan a different ceremony. But the only thing that matters is that you are married now…so you can say what so many of us bees do not have the luxury of saying yet…”I’m married now!” Or if anyone is a fan of the color purple ” I’ze married now!” lol

Reading your story the part that stuck out to me was how your dad and uncle worked so hard to try to save the day. I bet looking back on it, that is what will stand out most of all! They must love you so much 🙂 and you got married in the most memorable way, it was a great day!!!

I’m so sorry! I really have no other words to convery how sorry I am your special day didnt go as planned.  But you sound like you have dealt with it and have not let it get you completely down.  I believe you are right – one day you will look back at it and laugh, and realize that it still was a special day and the outcome (you are married!) is all that matters!  🙂
