So our wedding is very low budget and I wanted to find something cute and DIY to do for favors. When our wedding was in May ’14, I thought of doing flower seed pouches that said “Watch our love grow!” with the date. Now our wedding is in August…
I made a mock pouch and sent a picture to some people and my Future Mother-In-Law brought up that it’s probably too late in the year to be gifting seeds. 🙁
Now I have all these little pouches and don’t know what to do. Any ideas of how to revamp this favor idea?
Here is my mock favor:

But .. you could put a bulb in the pouch. Those don’t get planted until the fall, and won’t grow until spring.

Bulbs are a good idea, like the PP said. We are doing seed packets as well 🙂

I’m having a lot of trouble posting things right now. 🙁 First my thread posted a bunch of times and now my responses aren’t showing.

Third time is the charm. Here’s the pouches:

Your pics aren’t showing, but I’m going to assume it’s a flat envelope looking thing like seeds at the store come in. In that case a) bulbs won’t fit and b) bulbs are expensive.
Maybe you could do tea instead? Loose leaf or even tea bags with a cute sticker would work the same way. If the pouches are not quite as flat maybe you could do small muslin sachets with lavender or potpourri?

I was going to recommend tea as well. Tea favors have been pretty popular and they are super cute.

Indoor herb gardens can grow yearround. As such, perhaps you can do herb seeds instead.
