Did she pass away from some kind of illness/disease? Maybe you can tie it into a charity favor in her memory?

@echolove:  Usually with charity favors the bride and groom give a donation to charity, then the charity gives you little business cards to put at each guest’s place setting that says something about how a donation was made to such and such charity instead of favors.

@echolove:  To add to that, some charities will have little things (e.g. rubber bracelets) that you can buy from their online store with 100% of the proceeds going back to the charity. With this, then you get a tangible “favor” but you also have awareness about the charity and how it ties in to your loved one.

maybe you could make her favorite cookies or something? or if that’s going to be too much work, you could do heart-shaped cookie cutter along w/ the recipe.
