I made homemade jam and didn’t think the kids would be into it.  I thought and thought and ended up sort of punting on it.  They are getting big organza bags of jelly bellies in our colors.  Not that awesome, but I’m not sure that anything I came up w/ would have been any better considering their range in age and interest.

I like your little liquor bottles!

Maybe you could put cologne in them if the kids are all teens and then they could enjoy your cool bottles too.   When I was a kid, I think I got a bigger bang out of the personalized wedding stuff than the grown-ups.  I’d actually save them for years.

Could you just do a fun juice for the kids?

@hotwings:  If I was 18, I so totally would pretend I was drinking my “juice”.

haha! True true… about how the candy nerds or pop rocks?  Hubs and I were recently joking about how much fun we use to have in high school pouring nerds into our hands and dumping them in our mouths.

Cinnamon candies for the kids. Gummies?

You could use the same bottle( or find a similar plastic bottle) and layer in a few different candies and gum.

Hi!

May I ask what your secret recipe is for the cinnamon liquor? I am doing the same thing for my October wedding, but I haven’t been able to think of fall liquors. The bottles I bought are small, 1.7 oz, so it has to be a liquor. What do you mix the cinnamon liquor with? Are you going to put a little drink mix recipe on the bottle?

Thanks!

Kim

@Coloradobride: I am also a Colorado bride!!!  We are doing liquor as well (limoncello  and melon liquer), but for the kids I’m making smores kits as there will be a bonfire later, and a camping survival coloring book for them as well

@kmp992 – Apple Pie in a bottle would be delicious for a fall wedding.

Apple juice 1 gal

Apple Cider 1 gal

Sugar 3-4 cups

Cinnamon sticks – 6-8

Simmer until the cinnamon sticks open up (about 3-4hours)

let it cool a bit and add 1 liter of Everclear.

Tastes just like Apple Pie.

Hi everyone, can you tell me where you got the bottles from?
