I have decided on edible favors for my wedding just because I personally would want something I can eat.  As a guest, I don’t always attend weddings of people I am extremely close with and as a bride-to-be, I am (or the parents) are inviting people I hardly know but my parents know lol.  So I don’t want to give people something too sentimental like pictures, knowing they’ll throw my face away.  And not everyone needs bottle openers or letter openers or candles either, so something that people can eat is perfect! And if you don’t want to eat it, chances are someone else wants an extra!

I like edible! But even then, I’ve had candy for years sitting in a dish that I never ate. I think either way guests will be disappointed!

I’m doing cotton candy in little glassine bags.  Whatever doesn’t get taken will be THOROUGHLY enjoyed by meeeeee!

If the edible is good, I prefer the edible, otherwise practical items.

Edible and then practical (I heart bottle openers or stoppers)

I prefer edible. Even if I usually can’t eat them b/c I can’t eat chocolate, I can at least give it to someone so I know it won’t go to waste.

Always edible. I’ve yet to encounter a practicle favor that I actually wanted to take home and while I may love the couple, I more than likely don’t want a framed picture of them in my home.

ETA: If someone gave out bottle openers I’d definitely take it. The only “practicle” favors I’ve ever gotten were stupid little bells (wtf am I going to do with a bell?!) and the $1 store picture frame my escort card came in. Exciting stuff.

I gave little oak trees.    I loved those, but chocolate is always good too!
