I think a photobooth is a great idea and I think you can totally get away with personalization there, because #1 if the guests don’t like it, they can cut it off #2 it will help them remember where they were when the picture was taken (:

Favors are not necessary. I have left personalized shot glasses, CDs, cookies on tables. The only favor I kept and used until it bexame rusty were heart shaped measuring spoons.

Photobooth is enterntainment while you are at the wedding. Not a favor. But, again you don’t need a favor. I don’t know any smokers who still use matches. I don’t smoke so that would be another favor I would not take home.

I don’t think it is at all and Im not sure how it’s becoming a trend to be one. As another guest said, it’s something to do and have fun with at the wedding, but not a favor. At the end of the day, it’s mostly for the bride and groom to have the photo book album of their guests being silly with a cute message from them than a favor for their guests.

I don’t think favors are necessary, you are paying for them to have dinner and maybe even drinks. Most favors are left on the table. Someone had Lindt truffles as favors at a wedding recently and I went home with like 25 of the bags because everyone left them behind.

And a photobooth pic is totally a favor. They are bringing it home as a momento. I would rather a photobooth picture to savor the memory than some candy any day! Even if its personalized at the bottom, it still has the guests pictures so I don’t think personalization matters.

I love photobooths. I know a lot of people who have photo strips on their fridges from weddings from a long time ago because it was a good memory and fun pictures!

Whatever you want to give me is a great favour! I love the idea of a photobooth pic, friends of ours did that last May and we still have it on the fridge!

@Jenny_Loo_Davis:  we did a popcorn bar and it was a huge hit…so much cheaper than a candy bar!

@Jenny_Loo_Davis:  We had a photobooth and the personalization on the photos + the booth displayed pictures of the guests on the outside. I think personalizing your wedding is super important! If your going to have one, dont put it outside of the reception hall where the guests will be drawn away.

We also had lamington and sprinkle pops and cup cakes that were Australian and English themes (our wedding was in NY). These acted as our favors (see pics below).

What is it about you and your Fi that you connect with? Maybe incorporate these items some how.

@Jenny_Loo_Davis:  Your original plan is great!  Including the personalization.  Personalized wine glasses?  God no.  A photo strip & pack of matches with the bride & grooms name/wedding date?  Heck yes!

And its not “childish” it all.  Photos aren’t childish.  If assigning levels of childishness to favors, candy certainly ranks much much higher than photos.

    i say go for it.
