You will get a lot of different opinions on the ‘Bee about favors … I belong to the “edible favors are the best” contingent, because they tend to be reliably appreciated and used (i.e. consumed) as opposed to left behind or ending up at Goodwill.

So, it’s not all that unique, but I would recommend doing some kind of sweet treat for your guests. Hard to get more specific (or come up with something unique) without knowing more about you guys as a couple/what you’re doing for your wedding. Caramel apples are seasonally appropriate …?

I did boxes filled with macarons.  Since I was having a destination wedding, I didn’t make them.  I went on yelp and found the best macaron bakery in the city and ordered them over the phone.  I personally do not care for them but I think they look beautiful.  Our guests loved them.  One guest went around and gathered all the ones that were unintentionally left on the tables by other drunk guests.  She collected over 20.

I think people loved them mainly because most were coming from a city where they’re not sold at every bakery and they’re not something that most people can just whip up quickly at home.  They are not very forgiving and one mistep and you end up with a disaster.  I have made them successfully but I have to admit that I have to be very careful when I make them.  I have tossed full batches of the shells in he garbage.

I did design the box wraps to look similar to the boxes the laduree and bottega louie uses.

We did Jones soda with an engagement picture on them. They were a real hit and we chose flavour/colors that matched our color scheme!
