I’m thinking about giving out a bottle of prosecco with a special wine label that has our names/wedding date to every couple/single there. I’m still not sure that this is a good idea…

I’m a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to favors and since we could easily budget them we decided to incorporate 🙂 I think it’s a nice touch regardless of whether people take them or not. I created mine with etched wine glasses/thank you tags/wine charms according to our colors and theme of wine & literature. We’re getting married at a vineyard:

I am not a fan of favors. But my Fiance has started home brewing beer, so we are going to brew some wedding beer as favors. We will make a label for it and right now we are thinking of two different kinds. If we weren’t doing this, we wouldn’t have any favors.

lillynyc:  It took me a while to figure out what the favors should be. I finally settled on making them myself. I suggest that if you do want to have favors, make it something personal for the guests. If they know you love to cook, then something related to that should resonate sentimentally with them. My husband and I love to travel and have traveled overseas with a lot of friends and family that were in attendance so I made sets of coasters out of tiles and used photos from those trips as the design. I hand picked each set of photos for the guest (or family/couple), tied them up in hemp, and purchased the tag on etsy. People seemed to love them.

I was going to do hot chocolate on a stick for our fall wedding until my mom talked me out of it (she thought people would be turned of by “homemade edible wedding favors” so now we are doing glass photo coasters (will also double as placecards at the tables) and masquerade masks (our reception will have a masquerade theme).

lillynyc:  we didn’t have any and not one person missed it. My mom actually said “thank god I don’t need another trinket” I probably would have done a cookie or something if I did do a favor

lillynyc:  I had a custom logo made with our last name with the date of our wedding.   I then had the logo printed on coffee mugs and stuffed with candy since it was a week before Halloween.  They were all gone at the end of the night (plus we told the DJ to announce to everyone to please take them!)
