Good morning bees!! woot woot its thursday!! Friday Eve!!
So, Yesterday I posted my glam glitter wedding theme/ideas/colors, today I am posting about invites and favors.
In a perfect world, I would be able to spend 2000$ on Invitations from Cutture, UK. Check out this fabulousness…
They are custom of course but the best thing is they are outfitted to “your story”. You can tell them your whole story, where you met, first date, venue, place you grew up, favorite food or place etc etc. And they laser cut it to the invite in a 2 fold or 3 fold, or…the pop up box.
The pop box is 50$.US, EACH
So, in a perfect world, I would be able to afford them, or in this world, attempt to somewhat DIY or find an alternative.
I did see B. Weddings has some nice laser cut invites, not excatly the same but I am def. leaning towards laser cut. Only thing is their color options are slim, and their paper is not textured, which I would like. But beggards cant be choosy, so well see.
Anyone have a cheaper alternative? Or seen something similar, or DYI or anything? Let me know?
Now, for favors..my venue is an italian catering hall, as I am italian born and raised. Most of the guests are also Italian born and raised, with the exception of my hubbys family, they are hispanic, and some of my second generation italian cousins and coworkers.
Although Im a small village italian girl at heart, I am also a flashy, crazy, out of the box young woman. So I want my wedding to reflect me and my crazyness, which my family is expectant of already.
The only thing is, I still hold that traditional italian in me, and I want to have some kind of italian wedding favor. In italy, it is customary to give “bombaniere”..which can be little crystal or swarovski figurines, which i LOVE since I have many from my aunts and uncles weddings over seas. I have a crystal scale, a silver horse drawn carriage, a bear, you get my drift..
Too bad bombaniere, the real crystal ones, are expensive as hell. So, Id like to do Limoncello favors.
I love this idea because it ties my roots of Southern Italy, the decadence of Liquor, and the diffrence that its not common, and not done often.
This is the bad part, I cant find small Limoncello anywhere online. I’ve seen some big bottles, which are sooo pretty straight from Sorrento, but they are $20 each, which is WAY too much for favors. My mom could make it, and then we could buy bottles wholesale and have tags made up really pretty for the bottles, but that comes out to just as much money as buying the big bottles. BOOOOO 🙁
So bees, thoughts, advice, comments? Seen anything similar anywhere? Link up!
