Chocolate hockey puck favours would be cool.

Poutine bars are awesome btw. Your Arkansas family will love it once they try it! 😛

If he wants to bring hockey into the wedding somehow what about having the bridal party introduced to the same music the team uses when the players come out on the ice at the start of the game and starting lineups are announced?

I second the chocolate puck because that looks like the Sarris chocolate pucks and Sarris is sooooo good. You may be able to get them to personalize in some way because I know they do some degree of special order personalization. It’s Sarris Candies in Canonsburg, PA if you want to google them. They do have a handful of other hockey themed chocolate (Players, sticks, etc.)

We’re huge Penguins fans so our cake topper is a pair of penguins as a nod to that while being subtle. Maybe find a slick way to sneak in a nod to the team or game like that?

an00n1:  Not to sound rude, but unless he was a well-known player, I don’t think any of the women would like this gift. If I got this I would ask my Fiance who this guy is, what team he plays for, and give it to him to keep if he wanted. I think you should give them something to celebrate you both and not just his career.

I’m a huge hockey fan and thought about a hockey themed wedding but DH isn’t as into hockey as I am so I decided against it. I would LOVE hockey related favors. I think it depends on your crowd. My family and friends are as die hard as I am so it wouldn’t be seen as arrogant but more sharing your love and passion for something (no different than nautical themed favors for sailing bees or favors based on a destination).

Have a hockey themed grooms cake and call it a day.  What would I do with a stick and a puck?  If you guys can cover a stick and a puck for everyone you can afford to throw some Hershey kisses or Dove bites on the table and call it good.  OR, you can go with no favors and be fine.  Just, please no hockey favors as it does have an arrogant ring to it.

an00n1:  My cousin plays for the NFL and if he did this we would all be like for real? who needs a footbal of their cousin’s signature? Think about family. To them he isn’t a NHL palyer first. To them he is family first NHL player second.

It’s a bit weird. How much could I sell it on eBay for?

How about a hockey themed cookie. or chocolate bar.

an00n1:  You don’t HAVE to have favors. No one expects it, and most people forget to take them home anyway… and then you’ve wasted that money. This could easily happen to those  signed pucks… and then what would you do with them?

No one wants a puck or even an autograph of a hockey player.  Forget the favors.  Unless it’s edible or actually useful no one needs more clutter in their lives.  Your guests will thank you for it!

SammiCoJo:  That’s a pretty broad (and sexist) assumption.

OP, I am also very curious as to who it is. I do think chocolate is a better option though it could maybe be cute if they were pucks signed by both of you with the date. I like disneybrat’s suggestion of the bridal party entering to the team music.

mooo:  Ugh whatever. “Some women” might not like this gift. Let’s not be sexist and assume “all men” might like this gift while we’re at it. “Some men” might not like it either. “Some people” might like it and “some might not.” Sorry.
