We did M&M’s in our wedding colors in a little box because frankly I was burned out at that point. They all got eaten and none were left behind so I guess that is a good sign.

We’re doing mini bottles of Cava and sparkling cider for the kiddos.  Breakdown of the cost: pearlescent paper ($6 for 25 pack), heart shape hole puncher ($6), 12 rolls of ribbon ($.50 ea), rotary paper trimmer ($17), 96 bottles Cava ($2.75 ea), and 12 bottles cider ($7 for 6 pack).  So for 108 finished bottles, it ended up being $2.90 per guest.

I wanted to do macarons, but the idea of having 300+ macarons in my freezer just didn’t seem feasible, especially since I wouldn’t be able to package them until the night before.  And then where would I find the space for that?!

You certainly have a decent size budget at $5 a person.  You can pretty much do anything.  😉  I had a few favours (weekend winter lodge wedding) but here are my 2 favorites.  All my favours cost around $600 for 120 ppl.  The diy magnets were around $1.50 /person and the diy reusable coffee cozy’s around $1/person.

@SimpleKitty:  Did you decide on something?

The best favor I ever had at a wedding was caramel corn!  To die for!

DIY Oreo Truffles!!! They’ll be wrapped up in bags and then covered in purple organza and white ribbon.

@crystalrae:  How did you box or present the macarons? I’m having them cascading down my cake instead of a topper so that would be great.

we’re making our own labels (that we haven’t picked out yet) becuase my Fiance LOVES their soda.

eta: you could also do this with Jones soda. That was the original idea until I found out sprechers did it.

@Andyisgreat:  Going to be doing 2 per box in this but with a gold ribbon instead. They will be sitting on top of the menu at each place setting.

Here are our favors! They also doubled as meal indicators for the servers. Blue – pork, Yellow – fish, and Ivory – chicken. Each box had a custom made milk chocolate pecan turtle and a truffle. Lemon meringue for fish, temptation truffle for pork, and Carmel sea salt truffle for chicken. The chocolates were from a local handmade candy store that Darling Husband and I frequent so we really wanted to incorporate their goodies in our wedding!

We didn’t wanna spend a lot on something that people would most likely throw away anyway.
