Air plant! So cute, I love it! But I’m not a fan of sweets, so I probably wouldn’t eat the donut.

I’d go for the plant, but I think most people would prefer doughnuts.

Personally; those little plants are adorable and I would love those. With that said; from an overall perspective i am thinking there would be a higher percentage of people that would “make use of” the edible option, as there would be many who dont care for, dont like, isnt their style etc for the plant option.

I think the plant would be awesome and I would definitely take mine home but the donut would go over better with the masses. Edible favors always go over better.

I would definitely take the plant, and anyone else’s who didn’t want them. But I have like 40 houseplants and it’s an obsession of mine. I think most people would prefer the doughnut.

I love the plant! However, I hate gold, and any sort of plant causes bugs to appear in my apartment. Not too mention, most men, and a lot of women, have little desire for a plant in my social circle. Plants are also more difficult to transport.

Food on the other hand, everyone likes food. I would do the doughnuts. Doughnuts can be ate there, taken home and ate as a a midnight snack, niblbled on the drive home, or the guest can take it home and give it to another family if they don’t want to eat it themselves.

It is all about your guests though. If you know that your guests all have plants or are plant people, and don’t like sweets, then do the plants. Me personally, thinking about my family and friends, I can think of maybe 5 people who would want the plant over a doughnut.

The plants are super elegant and pretty but edible favors always win.

I got boxes of two champagne truffles from a local chocolatier for all of my adult guests and giant lollipops for the kids.

0% chance I would take the plant. I don’t care for plants. Someone gave me a cactus once and it’s the only gift in life where I actually actively resented receiving it because I felt obligated to keep it alive and I couldn’t just donate it to charity like other gifts. I ended up just tossing it in the trash after a month.

I generally love donuts, but would probably leave the donut too. I went to a wedding that had donuts to go and they had like almost all of it left over still when we left. Dinner at weddings is already pretty heavy with appetizers, salad, large dinner portion, and cake. Donuts are pretty heavy to add after that, and they don’t travel as well as things like cookies, especially if they’ve got cream or glaze.

I’d like either but the donut is probably a better option because… yum.

I personally would not do favors, and do a donation instead.

Personally, I like the little plants, but IME favors tend to get left behind when they aren’t edible.  I just wouldn’t want to risk wasting that much money.

I also think that favors are completely unnecessary, but I know people like them.

So my vote is for the donuts.

I voted for the donuts.  You’ll win your guests over with food.  Bonus if they can take it to go in a cute small box.  Some people won’t care to take a favor that they have to keep in the house.

Every wedding I go to, nobody eats or uses the favour. Going with a candy station instead as they are always popular.

Well, I voted for the air plant, but you all make very valid points about going with the doughnuts! 🍩
