I have started to make my holders by hand…see the picture.I now have a dilemma tho.
Originally i was going to include a ‘lucky dip’ lotto ticket but it seems like scratch cards are a much more appealing favour to everyone. Orginally on the bottom of the card i was going to write the words ‘lucky in love’ or ‘for richer for poorer’, (in a sivler pen). How do you guys thik this would look?
Another idea is to enclose a scratch card and attach a coin to the front for my guests to use as their ‘scratcher’.
What do you guys think..
1. Lotto ticket with silver writing on the front
2. Scratch card with a coin attached to the front or…
3. Scratch card with writing in silver and a coin attached on the inside?
These will be on my table and will be the most colourful thing on there as my mason jars are decorated in blues and creams and i will have a wicker heart centrepiece.
Appreciate help and advice.

3. People like instant gratification, especially with scratch off lottery tickets!

@char20vess: Scratch offs!
But, what if someone wins BIG? Should they share with you? I’d be so confused as to what the “right” thing would be!

do you all think i should still write on the front with the scratch offs or just stick a coin on the front of each holder?

Scratch off with writing on the outside, coin on the inside 🙂 Otherwise they might be confused why there are scratch tickets 😛

I would at a poll to let people pick. But I like the coin

I would personally be so nervous doing that for a favour. What is someone wins a huge sum? I couldn’t handle that personally. I would be inclined to make my own game (like a crossword with only certain letters provided) to put in the holders where there might be 10 winners out of your whole wedding. Then you could give out gift cards to those winners…. just a thought

I like the coin idea! Then people don’t have to dig for them.
@sweetpeony: what’s so wrong with people actually winning something significant? How is that hard to handle? I would just be happy for them!

I’d go with the “Scratch card with writing in silver and a coin attached on the inside”.
