Are you completely set on the idea that they won’t work? Honestly, as a guest I would love that they were small and probably display it in my curio cabinet. Plus, it would travel easily. I don’t think I’d carry a glass keychain. Maybe add something to go with it if you’re thinking it’s “not enough”?

Candice1990:  I would say no to a keyring…I think they could still work as you had planned! Guests aren’t going to want too big of a bottle taking up room in their suitcase!

You can use them for your escort “cards” and people can fill them up after the wedding. They can use them still even though they are smaller in size.

I like the escort card idea. Or maybe leave a note on each table about them? Possibly have a few friends/wedding party/family go fill them up before the wedding and eliminate confusion altogether?

Could you fill them with spices or something?  I would be very happy to receive a small bottle of smoked paprika or something similar as a favour.

But on another note….I seriously think it’s a great idea. And being a destination wedding, that’s a great souvenir and favor. Too bad no one will like it if I bottle up Virginia dirt for my wedding, or I might copy you

Candice1990:  They are place cards where people are going to sit, the table assignments for your guests. 🙂

Candice1990:  I don’t see a problem with the size. Tie them to the place cards, and tell guests they can use them to souvenir some sand, or put anything else they want in them. They can keep it or toss it, it’s up to them.

Don’t try to make them key rings. No one, except possibly your mother, will want a momento of someone else’s wedding on their key ring anyway. For the same reason, a small token is probably better than a large mantlepiece-sized favour anyway.

Candice1990:  don’t most people say that about wedding favors? lol
