I am making CD’s with our favorite love songs.

Edit: After posting this I just saw another thread about people really not being into the whole CD thing any more.  So now I don’t know if I’m going to keep it or go with something else.Smile

After seeing all the polls on weddingbee about how everyone dislikes non-edible favors and either leaves them or throws them out, we’re giving our guests cookies  =o)  I just would be too sad to see our favors getting thrown away or left behind.  The other popular option is to do a donation to a charity in lieu of a favor, but many ladies on the boards here are not doing favors at all.

I always think seeds are quite nice.  But I agree that edible favours are always popular.

We did Rocky Road. I got a friend to make it who bakes cakes etc as a business. This is something I could’ve done myself but I am in love with her rocky road. We then put 2 squares in each favour box – see my avatar.

We did homemade fudge (in dark and white chocolate to match our black and ivory colors) in little ivory gift boxes tied with black ribbon. We had a ton of food, so I hadn’t planned on doing an edible favour, but in the end it turned out well because guests were just excited to have a cool little gift box sitting on their plate. Most took them home to nibble on later. It was cheap, personal, and everyone loved it. We attached guests’ names to them so that they could double as place cards. At the end of the night, the kids even made a game of collecting the boxes that had been left behind because they wanted the fudge inside. I don’t have a close-up shot, but here’s a pic of the room–you can kinda see the boxes on the tables:

I think the personalized chocolates are a really unique, great idea!!
