i am thinking about wedding favours, i have been to alot of weddings and seen it all, from mini boxes of chocolates to shot glasses etc.
I was wondering what you did/are doing?
also i am thinking of maybe making ours, maybe something edible, like batches of cookies/macaroons in glassine bags and have some ribbon with our names on it? or i could make truffles again in lovely clear (posh) bags with personalised ribbon… what do you think? tacky? would you think someone was being cheap doing this?
i guess i like the idea as i love to cook/bake and expresses something of me at the wedding?

I think edible favors are great! Honestly, most of the regular favor stuff would probably end up never being used in my house but I can’t pass up on some homemade cookies!

I love the idea of edible favors! That’s probably my favorite kind of wedding favor, especially if it’s sweet. I’d love to get cookies or truffles, yum.
We’re doing a candy buffet, and we’re including truffles as well as homemade chocolate lollipops.

We are doing favor cards with seeded paper so that our guest can plant the cards after and wild flowers will grow.

I love edible favors! Great one!
We’re doing mason jars for our favors. The ones that have a handle on them. That way they can use them at the wedding and take them home! We have a lot of jars in our wedding, so it goes with it :]

I love the idea of edible favors! I seen this at a few weddings, and I think it is practical, and if you love to cook/bake then that would be perfect for you!

Too many folks with allergies that I don’t want to contend with, and after all was said and done (and that there’ll be enough other keepsakes throughout the day), we just aren’t going to waste the money…

Edible favors are great! I still haven’t decided what to do either, but since most favors get thrown away or left at the reception, I’m thinking about foregoing the favor entirely. I’m having a formal picture taken with each guest at the reception and will send them the picture along with their thank you cards so maybe this can suffice for skipping out on the favors?

The plantable cards are super cheap too, they are only going to be $1.39 a card!

We’re doing edible favors. I’m guilty of leaving all the shotglasses/picture frames/coasters on the table or throwing them out. This way, if there’s leftovers, I’ll eat them!
I love to bake, so I bought 200 lavender organza bags, and I’m filling them with homemade chocolates. I’m doing truffles, peanut butter balls, and caramels. My friends and I are having an assembly party the week before the wedding.

We are doing two cocoa cookies w/ white chocolate chips & oreos dipped in green chocolate (colors are black white and green). They will be in a celophane bag and tied with a twisty tie for freshness.

we are doing mini wine bottles. my FH uncle makes wine… so all we had to do was get the labels, bottles and seals… didnt end up being too bad about $250. so if you know of anyone that makes wine.. its definitely something to look into!
