I am DIYing my flowers as well and have decided to do little nosegays for the moms and grandmothers instead of corsages because a) corsages are too prom-y and b) I don’t know how to make them! I’d say do the calla bouts for the dads because they are so easy to make and hold up well. Tulips can get droopy and droopy bouts look sad.

I don’t think it matter if the father’s bouts match the others.  You can do it anyway you want, but they should have bouts.

And it is customary that the mom’s have coursages.  I’ve also seen the moms carry small nosegays/bouquets.

I actually got my mom and Mother-In-Law broaches instead of live flowers so they would have it as a keepsake.
