My mom is getting married in June to her fiance and I am at a total loss of what to get them as a gift.
For some background, I am her Maid/Matron of Honor. My parents didn’t pay for my wedding, but my mom generously gave me $3,000 afterward as a gift. I know she doesn’t expect that much from me (nor could I afford it right now) but I would like to still get her and her fiance a nice gift.
Finding nice mother/daughter gifts is easy… but that obviously doesn’t include her husband.
They have a very minimal registry (as this is my mom’s second marriage and they both have established households), but I want to do something more special than just buying them some cookware.
Please give me ideas! I’m seriously drawing a blank here…

It’s hard to give specific suggestions without knowing anything about the couple and what they like/need, but personalized gifts are always special regardless of how much you spend. If you’re crafty maybe you could make them a gift, there’s tons of ideas on Pinterest. If you’re not crafty, try browsing Etsy’s wedding gift category for something special you can buy.

How about an experience? Hot air balloon ride, live concert/ theatre tickets, zipline trek, photo shoot, massage/ spa day getaway, cooking or wine tasting class. Give them a memory.

I don’t see why it needs to be a joint gift?
Maybe a mother daughter spa day or nails prior to the wedding? bachelorette trip somewhere?
A customized decor item with their name if she’s taking his.

Also… if they are going on a honeymoon, you could surprise them with flowers or champagne or a room upgrade or excursion.

tulipdazey : People always enjoy experiences. My grandma gives Darling Husband and I a voucher to an expensive restaurant every year for Christmas and it’s always my favourite gift as we would never treat ourselves to an expensive restaurant.
I gave an Auntie a generous voucher to a local framing store once for her wedding, so she could get her favourite wedding photo professionally framed. She loved it, and still tells me how much she loved it years later.
Is there anything they enjoy together? Our two favourite wedding gifts was a large sturdy firepit with our names and wedding date on it (we love having people around for a fire and some drinks) and a camping stove and camping gear (we love going camping)

If your mom and her new husband are going on a honeymoon maybe you could go online and get a gift card for a local restaurant where they’ll be. Someone gave us one and we enjoyed the experience and thought of how nice it was for them to do that while we were there.
