So I have already purchased a wedding gift for my bride to be, but I dont feel like there is that much sentiment behind it. I purchased a david yurman necklace she picked out awhile back, but feeling like I should have saved some money and purchased a gift that has more meaning. We have a pretty expensive honeymoon coming up, and I feel that she would appreciate the savings more. I have no clue as to whether I keep the necklace which cost $700 or return it and save for our honeymoon. Also, if I return it are there any good ideas as to what to get? Thanks!

That is so sweet that you want to surprise her with something special. Maybe you can get a less expensive locket and have your wedding date engraved in it?

so i bought THE BEST wedding gift a few weeks ago from http://www.indigonight.com.
you can choose the date and the setting. i chose to do it on the night that my friends met and they LOVE it. it’s weeks later and she is still talking about what a special gift it is.

i’m not sure where you are, but you could have to done for the night sky over CITY on your wedding night, with a great quote. i used Dante’s “Remember tonight for it is the beginning of always.”

@Tla3105: I agree with the PP. I’m sure the necklace is beautiful, but yeah, I would appreciate the savings more, unless we were just rolling in it.
There are plenty of necklaces less expensive than that that are beautiful. To add sentiment, you can write her a nice letter to go with it. We really didn’t have a lot of money after paying for our wedding, so Darling Husband ordered postcards from everywhere we wanted to visit together, and wrote something he was looking forward to on each one. I loved it!
