- Wedding: July 2010
We received this from one of my family’s wonderful past exchange students as a wedding gift. Her card reads:
“Congratulations to the happy couple.
On March 3 we celebrate.”Hi na ma tsu ri” or the doll Festival.”Hi na” means dolls and”ma tsu ri” means a festival.
The other name of the Festival is the Peach Feast or the Girls’ Festival. The peach blossom is a symbol of happiness in marriage.
Very best wishe on your wedding.”
The box and diagram is all in Japanese.
I’m trying to write a thank you note but it’s really difficult to tell her how much I appreciate her thinking of us without knowing what exactly this is!
Does anyone know what this might be? Many thanks!!!!
