I usually do around $100…I received MANY gifts below $50…even for 2 guests. The bride will remember and I think it it’s nice to spend a decent amount on gifts (if you are able).

    A gift is a gift. I’ve received $25; I’ve received $5K. I generally don’t give money to peers, but I give a gift valuing around $75-$100, usually.

I wouldn’t worry to much about what the rest of the world is doing. The only thing that matters in this case is your relationship with your cousin and your budget.

we usually give a gift that costs about $125 from both of us, though now that i’m a student we just reduced it to $100 (though we bought them gifts from their registry that were on sale–originally the total gift would have been $175–gotta LOVE sales!) for gifts that we received, it differed a lot. i’d say the average from guests in our age group was about $100 per couple, ranging from $50-200. the lower cost gifts were generally from our bridal party, which makes sense since they contributed to bachelor(ette) parties and their outfits on the day of. gifts from our parents’ age group averaged more than that (probably 150 or 200 was average). and regionally–most our friends are from dc or nyc
