- Wedding: October 2011
I’m going to a wedding of a dear dear friend (she is my oldest friend..the only person to have stuck by me for the last 20 years…she taught me English when I moved to the U.S. at age 9).
She and her Fiance have been together 15 years (yes, half our lives) and bought a house when they got engaged a year ago. They have since furnished it the way they liked and they registered for a handful of things..which were all bought. They’re not very materialistic, so they only registered the essentials. I have previously bought them gifts for the house and when they got engaged (she collects precious moment and I got her the engagement/wedding one)…so now i’m really out of ideas as to what I should gift them! Part of me want to get something sentimental but I don’t really know what that is..and the last resort is just giving them cash gift..which is practical and they can use it to fix up the house since I know they still want to do some work on it. I guess my question is, if you were them…what would you prefer? Something you didn’t registered for or a check?
