My gown is by Maggie Sottero and I purchased it from La Soie Bridal in Irvine.  The original price was $850.00, I ended up paying $650.00 for it after negotiating.  You can see a picture of the dress on my blog.  http://calioc.blogspot.com/

check preownedweddingdresses.com.

if you live in the new york area, i highly recommend the bridal garden.  all profits are donated to a children’s charity and they have a huge selection of designer gowns at sample sale prices.  i got my gown there – judd waddell, about $800.

i love my watters dress! they usually run a little over $1000 but if you get them at netbride or pearls place, they will be less than $1K.

My Justin Brandon dress was $645.  I tried on a lot of different gowns in varying price ranges, but it was my favorite!

I will also reiterate Casablanca.  I got a very pretty strapless drop-waist gown for $675.  I tried it on first at a more expensive shop, looked around online, and then found a different local shop selling it for the same price as the online stores–score!  🙂

Definitely check out Casablanca.  I bought a fabulous dress from the fall collection for just over $800, including tax.  They’ve got a few organza dresses in their spring 08 collection.  Good luck!

My dress is an Alvina Valenta bridesmaid’s dress that comes in ivory, is absolutely beautiful (and very bridal!) and cost about $550. Good luck!
