Hi Ladies of the Hive,
One of my closest friends is getting married on a beach in NJ this weekend. I picked up this dress and didn’t even think that it was a white background. I’m now having panic attacks that it’s not appropriate or others will whisper about me. I knwo from my own wedding that I hardly noticed what others were wearing, and I know she is a low-key enough bride not to care, but I’m still nervous. Give me your honest opinion, the dress is returnable and I can take it!
I’ve also included a picture of her in her dress (ML from Kleinfeld for reference)

From what I can see it’s a really cute dress and totally appropriate for a beach wedding!

Looks fine to me. It comes across as a print not a white dress.

Thanks for the advice, I’m getting that the general consensus in the wedding wear etiquette is that prints on white are okay, and that it just shouldn’t like bridal (shiny satin, or solid lace), but I’m still nervous!!

It’s definitely more a print than white. I’m sure it’s appropriate. And you look great in it!

I think it’s totally appropriate. It’s adorable and looks really good on you. I wouldn’t even notice the white in it.

Thank you! I’m driving my husband crazy over here with indecisiveness! My fault for waiting until Wednesday before the wedding on Saturday!

Your dress could not be any more perfect for a beach wedding. Very cute!

That wouldn’t even register in my mind as a white dress. I think you’re fine.

I think it’s totally fine – doesn’t really appear white or bride-y at all. Have fun!

Totally fine. It would never even occur to me to think of it as a “white” dress.
