Has anyone ever done a blow out for their wedding hair? Or would you consider it?
If your city is anything like mine, the blow dry bar concepts are popping up everywhere. And it’s got me thinking that it might be a good slightly cheaper alternative to paying $50+ for a essentially a crappy, over-hairsprayed bun that I could have done at home. I’ve been in a lot of weddings recently where the bride had good intentions and brought us in to the salon with some really pretty hair concepts, but let’s be honest just about everything looks the same.

my wedding hair stylist charged $60/head. the blow bars near me charge twice that.
and i loved my hair style. there were 5 total and we all had different things done to style our hair.

Kacikins: I was actually thinking of doing this for the wedding as i love the blow bar in my neighborhood! I realized though that it would be the same price as my hairdresser, and the curls fall out quickly compared to my stylist that sets them. It’s definitely worth looking into though! they do great up do’s..

Kacikins: I did it as a bridesmaid for a wedding. It was really nice for $40 and a hairstyle that looked natural all night and didnt “cake up” it was perfect. If you want straight, curls or a basic updo it really can save a ton of money.

I’ve done it as a bridesmaid and I liked that hairstyle the best out of all the weddings I’ve been. Mine was also $40. If there was one near my wedding venue I would totally do that.

I just booked an appt. for my wedding at The Dry Bar. I’ve been there before and love the look. They only charge $40 compared to several salons near me that charge $65 and up.

Kacikins: I was thinking about this too!
My only worry is the bar in town is fairly new so I’m not sure of the quality. I’ve actaully been back and forth on this for the last month or so, traditional or blow dry to save some cash?!?
If you have one near you and they have a good reputation, go for it! Blow outs look great!

Kacikins: I have to ask.. I’ve never heard of blow out salons?? What are these? I’m curious.
