I think I would like it better if the braids were closer to your face like the way Anne’s are. Also the bun part looks kind of…pointy, almost? I like the intricacy of the braids and I really like your inspiration photo, but I think you should go back for another trial, either with this same person or with some one else. You’re *almost* there, but not quite. Good luck!

I agree, the braid should be closer to your face. I would probably just make that change the day of.

I think it would be important to see how it looks from the front, too.  I like the idea of this style, but the bun part seems to be lacking something.  What if the bun was replaced with loosely pinned curls?

I agree with the other posters…If you look at the inspiration photo…the braids are only on the edge of the hairline and the middle portion is not braided. That’s why the bun on the insiration photo has more round fullness. The next time around…just do the braids one the outside edges and I think you will find you will be closer to the hairstyle you want =)

Yeah, I would just ask for the french braids to start closer to your face. I had the same experience at my hair trial and wasn’t entirely thrilled, but just asked for one adjustment the day of and it made all the difference — I loved it!

I agree with everyone else the french braid should be started closer to your head right above your ear. In the picture its started too far up. Also anne hathaway has only two french braids coming from both sides of her head, it looks as though your hair dresser added an extra little braid. I dont know if you were trying to make it exactly like the pic, but i noticed that.  If you are concerned it wont turn out right I may have the hairdresser try one more time before the wedding. If you are positive she can get it right the second time, just have her make the adjustments the day of. Cute hair style! Im sure you have more pics of it, but I found some from different views.

I agree about starting the french braid closer to your face. Also, it looks like your stylist looped your braids up above the bun, which to me makes it a very different look than the Anne Hathaway updo, and might be contributing to the “heaviness” of the look that you’re seeing.

I think I would like it better if the braids were closer to your face like the way Anne’s are, but it still looks pretty.
