Hi. First post here. Have a few questions about wedding hair. How do you decide how to wear your hair especially if it’s straight. After reading a lot online and from experience it seems as if curling irons don’t hold the curls for too long and I haven’t found very many options for straight hair online. I don’t really know if I should do an updo or keep my hair down or half up half down at the moment. Also when I tried on the veil it didn’t hold too well so I don’t know what to do about that. Below there’s a picture of me in the dress I plan to wear (currently not laced correctly and will look different later) with my natural hair down. I love this length and probably won’t dramatically cut my hair until the wedding. Any suggestions for hairstyles for this hair type?

You have perfect hair for a dramatic, voluminous up do! That’d be my vote. But then again I’m partial to up dos in nearly every situation lol. They just look so elegant and fancy! But you said you love your hair length and if you wanna show that off then hair down might be your preference. What about half up and half down? That way you can show off your hair length but still have something to support the veil and more glam

I agree with the updo! You have such long thick hair, it would look lovely

I was really leaning towards the updo but wasn’t sure. Now I think I’ll definitely go for the updo. Now just need to think of what style exactly. Thanks!

You have great hair for whatever you choose to do. I have a very similar hair type in that it is straight and doesn’t hold a curl at all. I chose to wear my hair down with big curls (very similar to attached photo). We achieved this by using extensions, backcombing, and a shit load of hairspray. Most stylists are skilled in working with our hair type and can beat it into submission.
