How did you find your wedding hairstyle? Did you come across a picture in a magazine or on a website and have your stylist copy it? Or did you already know what you wanted and worked with your stylist to create it?
There are so many options and I’m trying to brainstorm ideas. Wedding is in 10 months but I’d ideally like to set up a trial run with my hairdresser (assuming she’s available for the big day) when I get my hair cut around the holidays. My hair is very long (goes halfway down my back) and very thick so the world is pretty much my oyster as far as hairstyles go. I think I want a full updo and one that is against the back of my head not the top but other than that, I have no idea. I don’t think I’m having a veil (but who knows I could always change my mind).
If I end up nixing the updo then the only hairdo I could see having is just basic waves.
There are just so many options it seems like an endless amount of choices.

I looked through pics and real weddings to see what struck me and then talked with the stylist about what he thought would work on me.
On the other hand, my Maid/Matron of Honor just walks in and says, do whatever you want, and she always looks amazing.

@Cem0930:I decided based on old pictures of me where I felt I looked prettiest—so I decided on a loose updo.
FROM there, I searched natural curls and updo on google. IN the end I tried to go for an updo like one of Taylor Swift’s and it turned out great.

I’ve been saving photos off of Weddingbee and Google for inspiration. I think I will just pick what I like the most and get a hair trial.
The decision is more difficult for me. I would usually go half up half down, but with the wedding in Hawaii it will be really humid so I think an updo is a wiser choice. It narrows down the options.

@ellabee: That’s really good advice!
