alarr14 :  Does everything need a hashtag? Or if it does can’t it just be #LarsonWarrenWedding? I’m not trying to be rude but I feel like wedding hashtags fall under the category of “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.”

alarr14 :  Sorry Bee, I am going to have to agree with the above. Why add the hashtag as a stressor to wedding planning? I think the hashtag movement is dying. For example, to be honest… I am not a hashtag fan. Now, I have attended 8 weddings this year. I looked at the hashtags for each wedding and you know how many photos appeared? 0-4. So, is the hashtag really worth the stress. No. Also, just over 1/2 of those 8 weddings had a sign about “please let our photographers capture our day” THEN a separate sign with a hashtag… um. That’s not how that works. You pay a crap ton of money for professionals to photograph your day. Skip the hashtag and let the professionals do their thing. laughing

alarr14 :  GIRLLL forget those PP’s. Do what YOU want. Plus, it totally helps you see all the pictures guests took. Just because you have a photographer doesnt mean someone else didnt snap a great picture of video of your first dance or head table, or maybe a moment the photographer didnt catch.

I hate it when people comment on a post with NOTHING HELPFUL OR CONSTRUCTIVE.

People need to take some advice from Thumper. If you dont have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

As for your hashtag:

  • #fromLarsontoWarren
  • #finallyWarren
  • #meettheWarrens
  • #HappilyEverWarren
  • #eatdrinkandbeWarren

Good luck Bee!

BrideK2Wings :  I think people use both the “Unplugged ceremony” sign and the hashtag sign because they want no photos of the ceremony, so that peoples faces are not covered by phones or ipads (seen it happen).

But then after the ceremony is over they want guests to post with the hashtag to find photo’s. Maybe a ton do not get uploaded but you never know what beautiful picture someone might have posted that you want.

If she wants a hashtag, let her have one. Why be so negative!

Not sure why people are negative about a hashtag. They’re actually super useful for when you want to go find guest photos of your day after the fact. My grandma didn’t use one (cause she doesn’t know what the heck it is) and it took me forever to find all the pictures she posted.

Not sure why pps were being negative at first. I’m in the pro-hashtag boat. I wanted one for MYSELF to post photos leading up to the day so I can always go back and see how excited I was. Even if no one else posts using the hashtag, at least it has my memories. My last name will be Goderstad, so mine is #BritGotHerStud and it is a funny wordplay so it works well.

As for you…Larson to Warren…hmm…

Why have a hashtag?

Because its the age of social media and no one ever sends you copies of photos you have to go find them and this is easier.

And life is fun let people have fun. Its not an added stress its one of the small happy things!

gunnabamissus :  Oh geezz, it’s not negative unless you read that way with a negative mind. Why not cross off one more thing on the long list of wedding planning if that thing is not really needed.

NOT negative… HELPFUL. cool

I think hashtags are fun and even if you don’t get a ton of pictures from the hashtag, I still think a lot of guests enjoy seeing what the couple comes up with!

We have a hashtag, I think it’s something cute and will definitely help to track down guest photos.
