My Fiance is over a foot taller than me, so I need as much help as I can get! Unfortunately my feet are also tiny so high heels are generally uncomfortable. Fortunately I found a pair that aren’t too high (in terms of steepness) and have a platform. I was hoping to find ones with a shorter heel and higher platform but I guess I was even lucky to find these. Not sure exactly how many inches.

I’m a total wimp when it comes to heels. For my wedding, I gave in to my mom’s insistence that I “had” to wear heels. She wanted 6-inchers. I vetoed that and compromised on ones that were 3-inch. And was miserable and uncomfortable the whole time because I thought I was going to fall off of them.
Like I said, I’m a total wimp. LOL (I wanted to wear cute flats or sneakers. My mom was horrified at this idea.) I think the only reason I regretted wearing heels was because it was something that was out of the norm for me. If you wear heels a lot and are already comfortable in them, I am sure you won’t regret it at all.

copperbird90: Beautiful! They look comfortable too!!
longtimemrs: poor you! Seriously!! Hopefully you were not that uncomfortable that it took away from enjoying your time.
BeeG35: nice size, beautiful shoes im sure!
My shoes are 1.5″ platform and 4.5″ heel so i think that will save me!! My feet are small too, at a 6.5. Shoes are a cloth material so they will hopefully be more comfortable. I do have to find some sort of insole for arch support as this lacks with small feet shoes i find. I am not my any means a high heel pro, but can def pull them off! And have done so in the past. A few days afterwards is not always fun, but its one day right?! lol

Luckily I’m super short. So I could get away with Rockin my 5 1/2 inch heels. Here’s what I wore.

My DH is about a foot and a half taller than I am, so I could go all out on heel height. I wore boots that no one else could see unless I chose to pull up my dress (and yes, the dress is a hilarious ’80’s style monstrosity, even though we were married in the ’90’s. DH even had a mullet at the time. A person can’t much much funnier, dated photos from that era than ours!):

I wish my fiance was a lot taller than he is. I’m 5’6 1/2″ & he is 5’10”. Heels aren’t cute unless they’re at least 3 1/2″ in my personal opinion of course. My heels are 3 3/4″ with a 1″ platform. I just don’t want to be taller or the same height as him 🙁

Nikkimcq: Awwww! Thanks! But it was a great day. Even the heels from heck couldn’t mess it up for me. I had a great time.

Fiance is a good foot + taller than me, so I get to rock my 5″ heels on a 1″ platform. I wear them all the time around the house to get used to them.

My husband is over a foot taller than me. I ended up wearing converse lol. But I did wear a short baby heal for the ceremony. Im not the best heel walker so baby heals and converse were a good fit for me.

My fiancé is 10 inches taller than me (I’m 5″2′) and bought myself 4 inch heels for my day. They don’t have a platform. I know what you mean about steepness in shoes, I am a tiny size 5 but I always feel clunky in platforms! Trying on my shoes at work!

I wore ~4 inch heels for my engagement party. I didn’t really have a choice to wear anything else since I got them in red (theme colour) on sale months before, at which time I hadn’t thought about our height difference. I’m 5’5, and in these shoes, I was still 6-7 inches shorter than Fiance. Big regret. I’m not short, but next to him, I look really small. They also hurt my feet after about 4 hours, even though I wear heels on a daily basis. They weren’t very comfortable.

For the wedding, since my shoes will not be visible, I’m planning on wearing 6 inch heels. I have some eBay alerts set for Charlotte Olympia heels. I dragged my Fiance to a store to try on the heels below, and when I stood next to him, we finally looked pretty good! The top of my head reached mid-ear on him. The salesperson told me they should be comfortable all night because of the platform, but I took his opinion with a grain of salt. We’ll see!
