That was very unkind of her, sorry that happened.

That is sucky because it’s not like she copied you by having bridesmaid in the same color dress or something common but I find you sadly have to keep all the exciting ideas to yourself. I’m sure if you have a different magician, they will do a different show.

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh what a copycat. >:| i’d probably give her eyeballs about it and razz/call her out to try and make her feel a bit guilty before moving on. it’s annoying that she’d steal something that unique!

Maybe you can have a balloon artist instead.

Ptttf. That sucks. I usually keep my deets on the DL even though I don’t have any friends getting married at the same time I am.

What a jerk! 🙁 That’s a really unusual thing for her to have thought of organically.

Have you tried talking to her about it?

You could have a face painter. I saw that done at a wedding, and it was a big hit!

I really REALLY do sympathize, because I’ve been there.  Well, sort of.  My close friend is getting married this year (so, after me) but she’s quite literally copying several aspects of our wedding.  Each time I find out about another aspect that’s a copy of our wedding, I get annoyed.  But, because I have the benefit of having been there, let me give you this advice: let it go.  It’s not at all worth your time and the negativity it will bring into your life if you spend time worrying about it.
