Photographer would be the next big thing I would book. Really popular photographers will book up fast.

It’s pretty much up to you what order you want to book things in. There’s not a right or wrong order. Go by what is most important to you. For me, flowers weren’t super important so I book my florist pretty late. But venue and photographer were huge for me so I booked them quickly and first.

I’d book your venue first.

Photographer/videographer definitely. A really good celebrant/officiant could be booked out quickly as well. We only got ours because we have a midweek wedding!

Our wedding is 2020 as well and we have only booked the officiant, the venue and the photographer. We would like to get our entertainment sorted next! I have a florist in mind but like your makeup artisit she isnt taking 2020 bookings until January. People have told me that transportation can get booked up very fast, but we dont need it.

Congrats! Big things like venue and date should be checked off first, which you have already done. In 2 years your taste in little things like themes could change, so enjoy being engaged! 🙂 I would hold off committing to flowers and decor items until maybe 12 months out. If you have a venue, your vision is probably already set though, so no harm and totally fun dreaming of invites, style of photography/videography etc.
