- Wedding: June 2013
Well, I didn’t really FORGET…it just seemed unimportant and not something I wanted to concern myself with. I went to the boat for the second time yesterday with my Maid/Matron of Honor to drop off the final payment and centerpieces, and they asked me again about music. The first time I said whatever they have is fine. Well….they have the wedding march. I don’t like it, I don’t want to have to time anything, I feel it will be awkward because it’s a short aisle and the music will end in the middle of my walk.
I NEED HELP!!!!!
We’re getting married on a boat, it’s a two story cruise ship that we chartered for the day. The captain will marry us with a short and sweet ceremony, and then we’ll cruise down the river and have lunch. That’s it. I don’t want a big production, and I feel like what we’re doing for the ceremony is more than I had really wanted. But it is what it is at this point.
So, me and the girls will be upstairs, and the guests will be seated downstairs. My groom will be at the alter. The BMan and junior gman will wait at the bottom of the stairs. My Maid/Matron of Honor, junior Bridesmaid or Best Man, and ring bearer will walk down the stairs and up the ailse, followed by my mom and I (she’ll be giving me away).
I think i just want soft music playing in the background. Is that weird? What type of music should I have? I can give them a CD or iPod.
For the reception, I told them to just have an XM station playing, they have one they play softly during dinner cruises and such so that works for me. I’m just worried about the ceremony music!!!
Also, I’m not really sure where to go after the ceremony. Everyone will be where we’ll be eating and we’ll be eating right away. Maybe we’ll exit up the stairs to the top deck for some photos. Argh. I don’t want to stress about this little stuff.
